Ways to Get Involved

Good Harvest Community Kitchen prepares approximately 5,000 meals a day for individuals in group settings, including children served by Head Start, daycare, afterschool, shelters, and summer camps, and adults served by shelters, adult daycare programs, and senior centers.

We need individual and group volunteers to assist with sorting and packing bag lunches and meals, and kitchen assistants at our central kitchen facility in Rosedale, MD.

I enjoy utilizing my skills and passion at Good Harvest. We prepare approximately 5,000 meals per day here and it feels good to be a part of that.”

Kitchen Assistant

Volunteering as a Kitchen Assistant at Good Harvest puts you right in the middle of all the culinary action! Kitchen Assistants directly impact our clients by packaging, labeling, and sorting our meals, chopping and seasoning ingredients, and/or making sandwiches and produce bags. The fun in the kitchen also includes light cleaning!

Volunteers can serve daily, weekly, bi-weekly,
or monthly. Please note that shift tasks vary by production needs. If you have physical restrictions, please contact Volunteer Services to see if accommodations can be made.
